When I meet new people and hand over the business card, I often get asked about the company name.
What's a Daedalus? What's the name all about?
Daedalus (Pronounced DAY-DAH-LUSS) was a character from Greek mythology (something that always fascinated me growing up).
He was the father of Icarus, for who he built a pair of wings.
He told Icarus not to fly too close to the sun or the wax that he'd attached the feathers with, would melt. He also advised Icarus to not fly too close to the sea or the wings would get wet.
This is why our logo is a set of wings.
